Comprehensive Health History
We start by reviewing your medical history, medications, past illnesses, surgeries, and family health background to identify any genetic or lifestyle risk factors.

Current Health Concerns
Together, we’ll discuss any symptoms, chronic conditions, or immediate issues affecting your wellbeing.

Lifestyle & Environment

  • Nutrition: Review of diet, eating habits, and potential food sensitivities.

  • Movement: Assessment of exercise patterns and barriers to activity.

  • Sleep: Evaluation of quality and duration of rest.

  • Stress & Mental Health: Exploration of stress levels, coping strategies, and how they may affect physical health.

Functional & Advanced Testing
We may use advanced lab panels and, if appropriate, genetic testing to uncover nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, metabolic function, and other key biomarkers.

Personalized Plan Development
Your tailored plan may include nutrition guidance, fitness recommendations, lifestyle modifications, stress management techniques, and targeted support such as supplementation, peptides, or hormones.

Education & Empowerment
We provide clear education about your health and treatment options, helping you set realistic goals and understand the “why” behind every recommendation.

Ongoing Support
Follow-up visits and continuous monitoring ensure your plan adapts with you. You’ll also have access to additional resources to keep you on track.

Integrative Oncology

The Metabolic Approach to Cancer

Cancer cells use energy differently than healthy cells, relying heavily on sugar (glucose) as fuel. The metabolic approach focuses on shifting the body’s internal environment—through nutrition, sleep, stress management, and immune support—to make it less favorable for cancer growth while strengthening healthy cells. This approach is designed to complement, not replace, conventional treatments.

Mistletoe Therapy

Mistletoe therapy is a treatment that uses extracts from the mistletoe plant to help people with cancer. It is often given as an injection under the skin. The idea is that mistletoe can boost the immune system, reduce side effects from treatments like chemotherapy, and sometimes even slow down the growth of cancer cells.

Doctors who use mistletoe therapy say it can help people feel better and have more energy while they are fighting cancer.

Our Integrative Oncology Philosophy

At Salus, we do not treat cancer itself—we support the terrain of the individual who has cancer. Our approach focuses on identifying what went wrong in the body and how we can best support healing during the cancer journey.

Hormone Optimization

Restore balance. Relieve symptoms. Renew vitality.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is a medical treatment used to ease symptoms caused by hormonal imbalances or deficiencies. While it is most commonly associated with menopause, HRT can also support other conditions such as adrenal and thyroid imbalances.

We specialize in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), which uses hormones chemically identical to those your body naturally produces. This holistic approach not only relieves symptoms but also supports whole-body wellness by addressing underlying causes.

Our Approach Includes:

  • Comprehensive Evaluation – In-depth health history, advanced lab work, and, when appropriate, testing such as DUTCH or genetic analysis to see how your body metabolizes hormones.

  • Personalized Treatment – Customized dosing of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, or thyroid support tailored to your unique needs.

  • Lifestyle Integration – Nutrition, stress management, sleep, and exercise strategies to strengthen your results.

  • Variety of Options – HRT can be delivered through pills, patches, gels, or injections depending on your goals and comfort level.

  • Ongoing Monitoring – Regular follow-ups to fine-tune therapy and ensure long-term effectiveness.

  • Root Cause Focus – Identifying and addressing contributing factors like nutrient deficiencies, stress, and environmental toxins.

Please Note: A comprehensive consult is required, as we believe in treating the whole person. Medications are not included in the consult fee.

Integrative Weight Loss

More than a number on the scale.
Lasting weight loss is about more than calories in and calories out. At Salus Integrative, we look deeper to uncover and treat the underlying causes of weight gain—so your body can naturally regulate a healthy weight.

Common contributors we evaluate include:

  • Low thyroid function

  • Adrenal hormone imbalance (cortisol, DHEA, etc.)

  • Sluggish liver detoxification or cellular toxicity

  • Chronic stress and its hormonal effects

  • Neurotransmitter imbalances

  • Yeast or candida overgrowth

  • Food sensitivities, including gluten intolerance

  • Blood sugar and insulin resistance (metabolic syndrome)

For a full evaluation, we recommend a Comprehensive Integrative Consultation.

Weight Loss Medications & GLP-1 Therapy

If appropriate, we may integrate GLP-1 medications (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide) into your personalized plan. These therapies mimic your body’s natural GLP-1 hormone, which regulates appetite and blood sugar.

Benefits of GLP-1 therapy for weight loss include:

  • Appetite regulation – feel fuller, reduce cravings

  • Improved blood sugar control – stable energy and reduced spikes

  • Metabolic effects – support fat loss and healthier body composition

Studies show that GLP-1 therapy combined with lifestyle changes can lead to significant, sustainable weight loss.

GLP-1 and Longevity

Emerging research suggests GLP-1 therapy may also support long-term health and healthy aging by:

  • Improving metabolic health & insulin sensitivity

  • Reducing inflammation

  • Potentially lowering risk of age-related conditions (cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, etc.)

Our Integrative Approach

At Salus, weight loss plans are never “one-size-fits-all.” Your care may include:

  • Personalized assessment of health, hormones, lifestyle, and goals

  • Holistic plan that integrates nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and (if appropriate) GLP-1 therapy

  • Ongoing monitoring & adjustments to ensure safety and lasting results

If you’re specifically seeking GLP-1 therapy, please schedule a Weight Loss Consultation.
